LAZULI is a group from the region of Ales, created in 1998; its musical universe balances between progressive rock, song, electro and world. Its atypical, dreamlike, exploring music takes us off the beaten tracks with its unusual formation: marimba, French horn, keyboards, percussion, drums, guitar, mandolin, voices and a unique instrument invented by Claude: the Leode.
LAZULI imagines its songs as paintings, mixes the colours, describes its world once and paints it again. The lyrics are questions on the plague of the modern world. The airy voice is like balanced on a string, playing on words, singing about humanity under all its forms and its…deformities.
Since their remarkable appearance at the Prog’Sud in 2006, LAZULI successive concerts on national and international stages have had a huge success. On stage, this unusual group casts a spell on you.
We are of course very happy to welcome them with their new formation for our 12th Festival.
A new album is being prepared and will be released next spring and performed for the first time for the public of Prog’Sud.
A great evening ahead!
