TELESCOPE ROAD France Finlande Etats-Unis
Active for several years on the international progressive scene, TELESCOPE ROAD consists
of three well-known musicians from three different countries who together create strikingly
original progressive music.
On guitars we find Alain Chiarazzo, virtuoso French guitarist and founding member of the
legendary Eclat. One-of-a-kind fretless bassist William Kopecky (Kopecky, Michael Angelo
Batio, Par Lindh Project) hails from the USA. They are joined by innovative Finnish drummer
David Lillkvist (Par Lindh Project, Gjallarhorn), who has earned a well-deserved international
In 2015 the group played at the ProgSud festival (France), toured Japan, and played at the
Rock ad Ovest festival (Italy) as well as numerous concerts in Marseille in the south of France.
In 2016 the group released their debut self-titled 6 track CD, releasing it on the occassion of
their return performance at ProgSud. The group did a French tour that culminated with their
performance at the Crescendo Festival, France´s largest progressive rock festival.
2017 found the band playing numerous dates in France, England, Finland, and even
returning for a second succesful tour in Japan.
Telescope Road offers us a highly-nuanced musical world. Recently, the group's music has
been getting more rock-based, bringing to mind Rush and King Crimson while still maintaining
their indentity and originality. The objective of these three musicians is to take the listener on
a musical voyage from rock to world music while utilizing each instrument to its full potential.
